Martini Hand Painted Glass - Firebird

I have finished working on this glass probably a month ago, maybe even more. I had only one problem - completely no time to take pictures and post it. Working till late night, bad weather or simply weak memory.
I planned to take glass with me to weekend trips and make really nice pictures in the mountains, on the river, next to the beautiful mansion... but each time when we arrive I realized that this happened again - I forgot the glass at home.
Finally I gave up and just make pictures in closest park during rollerblading.
This glass is special. There is first time when I have painted a leaving creature on glass. This is magic Firebird from Eastern European fairy tales.

The second thing that make this glass special - I have not painted whole surface of glass. I just only draw and painted bird on it. I am not sure that I use such approach painting other glasses.

Wedding Gothic Glasses

Finally I can show these glasses. This is a gift for my really close friend who is about to get married so I cannot show them until I gave them to her.
Last week this ultimately happened and I am more than excited to present. My friend asked me to make something “gothic” so I decided to use red, yellow, white and blue as main colors to make them look like stained glass in churches.
Shield  and sword were chosen to remind knight’s emblem. Rose - to represent love.
Hope my friend and her husband will enjoy these glasses. I wish them all the love and happiness in their marriage.

Miniature Glass figurines - 8

Last time I've posted all new cats in my collection, now let's go with the dogs.
Badger-dog:
Sal the Dalmatian:
Sal the Dalmatian has great guarding and hunting instincts. He’s always bursting with energy so he needs to get outside and exercise often. He has an affinity for horses and loves to run alongside them. Sal has outstanding endurance and agility. He’s quite friendly with those he trusts but aloof with strangers. Sal was born in Croatia, January 15, 2009.
Channing the Chihuahua:
Channing the Chihuahua loves to play in the sprinklers on a summer afternoon. She thinks it’s hilarious to get wet and then shake off next to people. Channing enjoys chewing on designer shoes and she always tries to sleep in her owner’s bed. She likes to be picked up but will not tolerate being carried in a purse. Channing was born September 26, 2009.
The "biography" of Channing and Sal I took from here. This is an amazing page for miniature glass figurines collectors.

Pears and Apples

This is last glass from Autumn set: apples and peaches (and some unknown berries :) )
I have finished painting this glass months ago but still haven't start new one. I have lot of ideas and no time at all. Probably I should spent some time and learn how to sleep 2 hours per day. The problem is I have no time to do that too:)
Also I am trying to redesign my blog and make it more readable and consistent so don't be supprised if you see some unexpected things - they all are temporary and experimental.

My cute handmade knit dress

I love bright colors. I love extraordinary, weird things. I fell in love with this knit dress at first glance. I found it here: present-cama.livejournal.com. Isn't it just gorgeous?
I think I am pretty handy but knitting is not my favorite type of crafting. Moreover I don't like knitting at all. So despite of  I wanted this dress so much I was not going to knit it. It would be very sad if I had no sister who is really skilled in knitting! So I sent her the link with schema
and ta da!
I have never had more beautiful dress. It just amazing.
And finally here I am - wearing the dress. Thanks, sister!

Last couple weeks were really productive in terms of growing of my collection of miniature glass figurines. I got a lot of new cute small animals. I don't want to put all of them in one post because it will be too much - so today I'll share only three new cats.
Love them all:

Card For the Special One

I made this card before Valentines Day last year for my very special one. It was difficult to take pictures of this card. I am not a card-maker as well as I am not professional photographer:) It can be better of course but it was made with really worm feelings.
Front side:
Back side:
I aged paper by putting it in coffee for a night. As a result the paper looks old, has burnt edges and as a bonus has wonderful coffee smell.
